In April 2021 I released my first podcast episode (like thousands of others I’m sure!)

My first guest, Tina — also a podcaster — told me that you’re not truly a podcaster until you reach your 25th show.

Well, I finally made it!

I don’t know if I’m a real podcaster now, but I certainly learned a lot along the way, and so could you.

You can’t get better if you don’t start

I spent over a year saying I wanted to do a podcast. And did nothing about it. Ideas are worthless when they are inside your head. Make something, and share it with the world. The hardest part is over now.

Stop making excuses

Start simple. You don’t need professional equipment to start, despite what everyone who owns professional gear will tell you. Grab any microphone you have on hand, download some free editing software, and get going (I use www.audacityteam.org). Everything else is an excuse not to start. Remember, you can’t get better if you don’t start (see point 1).

Publishing is easy
